Anderson sign a new contract until 2015

"I am looking forward to winning many more trophies with this club," said Manchester United FC midfielder Anderson after signing a new contract which runs until June 2015.

Manchester United FC midfielder Anderson has signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract running until June 2015.

The 22-year-old Brazilian international was sidelined from February until September due to a knee injury and whiplash from a car accident but has returned to action in style, earning a fresh long-term deal.
"This is the best club to be at and I would like to thank everyone for the great support I have received over the years. I am looking forward to winning many more trophies with this club and I am so pleased to have signed a new contract," said the player.

Anderson joined Manchester United in 2007 from FC Porto for a reported €30m and the following year scored a penalty in the UEFA Champions League final shoot-out win against Chelsea FC in Moscow.
He also helped the Old Trafford club to Premier League titles in his first two seasons as well as the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup and 2009 English League Cup – in which he converted the winning penalty. His equaliser last week against Valencia CF clinched first place for United in their UEFA Champions League group and seeding in Friday's round of 16 draw.

Anderson was also a South America Under-17 and Copa América champion with Brazil and awarded the Golden Ball as top player of the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
